Acrylics and graphite on plywood. My first foray into the exciting world of stencil art — definitely a technique I’d like to explore further. In addition, given the amount of plywood filling our garage, I’ll probably be using wood instead of canvas for my next couple of pieces.

Inspired by Noelle’s obsession with the Statler plushie in the claw machine at Publix, though I’m not sure where the shrunken head idea came from. On a side note, it was nice to finally figure out what Waldorf’s counterpart was named since no one ever seems to remember (not Astoria). It was actually Statler’s wife who was named Astoria, and was really just Statler in drag. Acrylics, watercolor pencils and markers on canvas.
